Hi! The end of August is here which means it’s been one year since I was eight months pregnant at the Eras Tour and timed my pee breaks around the set list beforehand. Here are some other things I’ve been thinking about this month!
Grown up chocolate milk. I have been waking up starving recently, but usually jump into getting Leo changed/dressed/fed before I sit down and have a proper breakfast myself. I started putting two scoops of chocolate protein powder into a glass of milk while I get Leo’s bottle ready and it is the quick, sweet, filling, bevvy of my dreams.
I was influenced by my friend Britni to marinate salmon in this Yuzu sauce and then throw it in the oven and it was such a quick and delicious dinner. One thing about me is that I’m a very literal cook (I need explicit directions and measurements or I really can’t be trusted not to ruin everything) and when I asked her how much to marinade to use, she told me to “eyeball it” which was largely unhelpful. But we made it work and Adam – who has recently decided he hates fish after 38 years on earth – told me that my aura was salmon after I ate it, which I took as a compliment.
- ’ new cookbook, What To Cook When You Don’t Feel Like Cooking. It’s fun, it’s smart, it’s categorized by how long each recipe takes to make which is literally exactly what I need in my life. We made the Enchilada Rice Skillet this week and devoured the whole thing. Also, I recently started helping Caro guest edit the weekly So Into That column of her very popular newsletter, so if you don’t already subscribe, this is your sign!
