Hi! The end of August is here which means it’s been one year since I was eight months pregnant at the Eras Tour and timed my pee breaks around the set list beforehand. Here are some other things I’ve been thinking about this month!
Grown up chocolate milk. I have been waking up starving recently, but usually jump into getting Leo changed/dressed/fed before I sit down and have a proper breakfast myself. I started putting two scoops of chocolate protein powder into a glass of milk while I get Leo’s bottle ready and it is the quick, sweet, filling, bevvy of my dreams.
I’m reading Long Island Compromise by Taffy Brodesser-Akner (1-2 pages a night before I pass out, if I’m being honest) and am loving it. The writing is excellent and the story is twisty and turny in a bunch of delightfully unexpected ways. Something Adam and I are theoretically doing is reading the same book at the same time, so whenever we each get around to finishing this one we can talk about it. TBD on when that happens but I’m looking forward to our mini book club.
- ’ new cookbook, What To Cook When You Don’t Feel Like Cooking. It’s fun, it’s smart, it’s categorized by how long each recipe takes to make which is literally exactly what I need in my life. We made the Enchilada Rice Skillet this week and devoured the whole thing.
